What is the ruling on subscribing to websites that claim one can earn money merely by receiving emails and browsing the web, for someone in dire need of money?

We were unable to access these websites to evaluate them. However, in general terms, any of them based on gambling or games of chance are impermissible to participate in or work for. As for those based on earning money in exchange for effort in a permissible matter, such as promoting permissible goods without deceit or fraud, there is no harm in it.
