Does the divorced woman's maintenance payment fall if the husband only undertakes the children's maintenance?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

A divorced woman entitled to maintenance is one who is revocably divorced (raj'iyyah), or irrevocably divorced (ba'in) and pregnant. If the waiting period (iddah) of the revocably divorced woman ends, or the pregnant woman delivers her child, or the divorce is irrevocable without pregnancy, then she is not entitled to maintenance, except for the wages of suckling her child.
