Belching does not invalidate ablution (Wudu'). It is recommended to raise one's head when belching during prayer, so as not to bother those around the worshipper with the smell. If the emission of gas is continuous, the person should perform ablution when the time for prayer begins, and then perform their obligatory and supererogatory prayers; the emission of gas will not harm them. A person in this condition is treated like a woman with irregular vaginal bleeding (Mustahaadah). One must be careful of obsessive doubts (Waswasah); if the worshipper doubts whether gas was emitted, they should rely on the original state, which is that it was not emitted.
