Is the prayer of an unjust father who does not pray and openly commits sins against his daughter answered, and is the daughter's hatred for him and her unwillingness to sit with him considered disobedience?

If a father supplicates against his son unjustly, his supplication will not be answered. If the son is not disobedient or neglectful of his father's rights, then there is no blame upon him for what he finds within himself of a weakening love for him; for love and hatred are matters that Allah places in the heart. However, it is not permissible to abandon one's father or treat him badly, no matter his condition. Rather, one must enjoin him to what is right and forbid him from what is wrong gently and politely, especially concerning prayer. It is obligatory for children to always advise their father and not abandon him or be disobedient to him, even if he calls to polytheism. Indeed, Allah has commanded to accompany parents with kindness, and the dutifulness of children may be a cause for the parents' rectification.
