This act falls under the meaning of the forbidden practice of "Najsh," which is offering a price for an item without intending to buy it, so that others follow suit and are deceived. This is cheating and cooperation in sin, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever cheats is not one of us."
