Why did Sheikh Al-Albani classify the hadith "Whoever mentions a defect in a person that is not in him, intending to disparage him" and the hadith "There are three whose prayers do not rise a handspan above their heads" as weak, and what is the most authoritative opinion regarding their درجه?

A detailed critical analysis (takhrij) of the two hadiths from Shaykh Al-Albani's books was not found. However, he cited the first hadith in "Da'if al-Jami'," "Da'if al-Targhib wal-Tarhib," and "Ghayat al-Maram," and he graded it as weak in all of them. In one place in "Da'if al-Targhib wal-Tarhib," he mentioned a lengthy narration of the hadith and then said: "And part of it was narrated with a good chain: 'Whoever mentions a person with something that is not in him to defame him, Allah will imprison him in the Fire of Hell until he comes with the fulfillment of what he said about him.'" As for the second hadith, he also mentioned it in the three books and ruled it fabricated in "Ghayat al-Maram." However, he indicated that it has a corroborating narration (shahid) from the hadith of Abu Umamah with the wording: "the runaway slave" instead of "two estranged brothers," narrated by Al-Tirmidhi with a good chain.
