What is the ruling on one who is compelled to stone the jamarat for only one day during Hajj? Should he stone them himself in advance, or appoint someone else to do so, and is he required to offer a sacrifice?

Throwing the Jamarat and staying overnight in Mina are obligations, and deputizing someone to do them is not permissible for one who is able. Throwing the Jamarat before its prescribed time is not valid. If staying to throw the Jamarat and spend the night in Mina causes unbearable hardship due to work circumstances, it is permissible to forgo them, provided that two sacrificial animals (dammayn) are slaughtered, and their meat distributed among the poor of the Haram, and the Hajj remains valid. There is also an alternative for those who deem it permissible to throw the Jamarat before Dhuhr on the twelfth day: one throws in the morning and then departs without incurring any penalty (dam).
