Is the sacrifice obligatory on behalf of the wife with whom the marriage contract has been concluded, but before consummation?

The Udhiyah (sacrifice) is a confirmed Sunnah for whoever is able to offer it. A Muslim sacrifices on behalf of himself and his living and deceased household members. A single Udhiyah is sufficient for a man and his household, regardless of their number; he is not required to offer a separate sacrifice for each individual. If the wife's father offers the sacrifice on her behalf and on behalf of his household, that suffices for her as long as she is with him.
