Is a committed girl, to whom a religious suitor has proposed, obligated to tell him that her father is a gambling addict? Will she be held accountable for her father's sin? And how can she help her father find guidance?

It is not obligatory to inform the suitor about the father's condition, for a person is accountable for his own deeds and is not held responsible for the actions of others. It is recommended to continue striving to reform the father through supplication and seeking help from righteous people. There is no need to regret the suitor's departure, for Allah knows best the consequences. It is advisable to supplicate frequently for the facilitation of matters.
