Is the furniture maker entitled to claim the remaining amount after being late in delivery, supplying defective furniture, and promising to repair and reduce the price?

Both parties to an istisna’ (manufacturing) contract must fulfill their conditions: the worker completes the work according to the agreed-upon specifications and time, and the employer pays the full wage. If the worker breaches his condition by delivering a defective or deficient product, the client has the right to reject it until it is rectified, or they may agree on a different wage, or they may annul the contract. If the worker insists on the full wage despite the deficiency, the client has the right to take the matter to the Sharia courts.
