Will a person be punished for their sins in the grave, or on the Day of Resurrection, or are there specific sins for each stage?

The torment and blessings of the grave are an established truth, and their primary cause is ignorance of Allah, squandering His commands, and committing acts of disobedience. Among the detailed causes of torment mentioned by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are: backbiting (namima), not cleansing oneself thoroughly from urine, praying without ritual purity (tahur), not supporting the oppressed, lying, abandoning the recitation of the Quran and acting upon it, adultery, consuming usury (riba), sluggishness in prayer, neglecting zakat (definition), consuming foul meat, and engaging in discord through speech and sermons. The torment also includes consuming the orphan's wealth, gossip (ghiba), slandering people's honor, and embezzlement from war spoils (ghulul). All these sins and similar ones are causes of the grave's torment.
