What is the ruling on saying that the Qur’an is ancient, and does our saying "the Qur’an is articulated with sound and letter and is heard" liken God's speech to human speech, and how did Gabriel hear the Qur’an from God?

One must progress gradually in seeking knowledge, beginning with minor issues before tackling major ones. Issues concerning the Quran are intricate, making it difficult to delve into them before mastering the fundamentals of knowledge. Imam Ahmad forbade delving into the issue of utterance (al-lafz), clarifying that the Quran is the uncreated, revealed word of Allah, and that reciting it is an action of the servants. The Salaf disliked delving into these matters, contenting themselves with the belief that the Quran is the uncreated word of Allah.
