Is a mother's raising of her orphaned daughter and spending on her considered sponsorship of an orphan, for which virtue was mentioned in the Prophetic hadiths?

Sponsorship of an orphan means spending on them, raising them, and taking care of their affairs. Whoever does so is included in the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "I and the sponsor of an orphan are in Paradise like this," and he pointed with his index and middle fingers. And his saying: "I and the sponsor of an orphan — whether related to him or not — are in Paradise, and the one who strives for the widowed and the poor is like the mujahid in the way of Allah." So, sponsoring an orphan, even if they are relatives, will admit its doer into Paradise, and the more one increases in good deeds, the greater their reward.
