Why did the girl's father refuse to marry her to the suitor, despite her approval and the kinship between them?

It is forbidden to establish a relationship between a man and a woman except within the confines of marriage. A father's refusal of a suitor due to his education or wealth is not permissible, as the primary consideration in choosing a husband should be his religiosity and character. If the girl repents, seek Allah's guidance through Istikhara regarding proposing to her, and try to persuade her father through an intermediary. If he does not agree, there are many other women, and it is not permissible to marry her without the permission of her guardian.
