The answer

Paying to someone who has taken out an interest-bearing loan is permissible, especially if doing so reduces or prevents the interest. However, Zakat should only be given to them if they are repentant and determined not to return to such dealings. If signs of repentance appear, then it is good to give them Zakat; otherwise, it is better to give it to others among the righteous. As for their son, they must repel his evil by all possible means, even by reporting him to the authorities, and they must strive for his treatment.
