What is the ruling on working for a company that sells toys, which include cartoon characters with music, and that transform into monsters with superpowers, and dolls that perform human functions, and characters such as pirates and soldiers? And does the prohibition—if it exists—include all departments of the company, or is it limited to the sales department?

It is impermissible to sell games that contain music, corrupt beliefs, or deviant symbols, because that is a form of cooperation in sin and aggression. If the store sells both prohibited and permissible games, then it is permissible to work there if the employee can be in a department that has no connection to the prohibited games. Otherwise, he would be sinful by participating in the sale of the prohibited or assisting in it. And whoever fears Allah, He will provide for him from where he does not expect.
