Is it possible for me not to prostrate on the ground because I feel suffocated?

Prostrating on the seven limbs is a pillar (rukn) when one is able, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: «I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones: on the forehead - and he pointed with his hand to his nose - and the hands, and the two knees, and the ends of the two feet.» It is sufficient to enable the forehead and the rest of the limbs to touch the ground with tranquility (itmi'nan). If prostration is difficult, then gesturing (i'ma') is sufficient, provided that the gesture for prostration is lower than the gesture for bowing.
