Julaybib, may Allah be pleased with him, was not more handsome in appearance than many people. However, Allah Almighty does not look at physical forms or wealth, but rather at hearts and deeds. The aforementioned statement is correct, for there is a vast difference between a person considered beautiful in appearance and Julaybib in rank and status with Allah Almighty. Many were blessed with wealth and beauty, but they were not blessed with the inner righteousness that Julaybib, may Allah be pleased with him, was blessed with.
