What is the ruling on storming the embassies of infidel states and killing their ambassadors in response to insults against the Messenger (peace be upon him)?

Attacking foreign embassies and harming their staff is not permissible because ambassadors and staff are either people of covenant (mu'ahadun) or people of trust (musta'manun). In both cases, it is not permissible to assault them. The security under which a non-Muslim entered the lands of Islam must be respected. Whoever grants security to a non-Muslim, it is not permissible to kill him. Sheikh Ibn Baz was asked about the ruling on assaulting foreign tourists and visitors in Muslim countries, and he replied that it is not permissible to assault them because they are people of trust. Individuals should refer the matter to the rulers. This does not mean condoning insults to the Prophet, peace be upon him. Rather, action must be taken according to Sharia regulations to prevent such insults. We do not hold anyone accountable for another's crime: "And every soul earns not [anything] except for itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another."
