Why is man subjected to the test of this worldly life, and why does he not have the option of choosing not to be rational and sentient to avoid this test, despite his lack of interest in the delights of Paradise?

This worldly life is a test for humankind. Allah creates what He wills and chooses, and He has made this world a house of trial to distinguish the obedient from the disobedient. Humankind was created from nothing, and Allah honored them and made them capable of distinguishing between good and evil. The greatness of humankind lies in their ability to choose the truth despite its difficulty, suppress their whims, and rise after falling. This test is what reveals the greatness of humankind. This divine will for the existence of humankind in this life carries immense value, and humankind should praise Allah who chose them to be in this arena.
