Why did God create humankind, knowing their destiny?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

This life is a realm of trial, where Allah tests His servants with messengers and scriptures. Whoever believes and acts righteously will be among the people of Paradise, and whoever disbelieves will be among the wretched. Allah’s knowledge of the creation of His creatures, their provisions, lifespans, and deeds preceded their existence. The issue of happiness and wretchedness should not be problematic when the issue of provision is not. Allah’s knowledge of the destiny of His creation is natural for the All-Powerful, All-Knowing God. One who is ignorant of the future of His creations is not worthy of divinity. Allah does what He wills, and He created jinn and humans to worship Him. In this, the effects of His beautiful names and attributes are manifested, for He is the Creator, the Merciful, the Wise, the All-Knowing, the Just. The believer should trust in Allah’s wisdom and justice and submit to His command, for the inability and shortcomings are within us, not in His wisdom, glory be to Him. He is not questioned about what He does, while they will be questioned.
