Why did Allah create the universe and this world, when He is in no need of anything?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah Almighty has declared that jinn and humans were created for His worship, and He is free from any need for their sustenance or feeding. Human minds are limited in comprehending His wisdom in all His actions, and the general rule is: "He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned." Allah Almighty loves for the effects of His beautiful names and exalted attributes to be manifest. He answers those who supplicate, removes distress, rewards the obedient, and punishes the disobedient. The effects of His names, such as the Most Merciful, the All-Mighty, the Acceptor of Repentance, and the Creator, are evident in the universe and in His dealings with His creation. He sent messengers, revealed scriptures, and guided creation out of His mercy for them.
