Why did Allah Almighty create us, even though He is self-sufficient and has no need of our worship, and our disobedience does not harm Him?

Allah Almighty created creation for His worship, and He is free of all need from them. It is creation that benefits from obedience and suffers from disobedience, as stated in His Almighty saying: "And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me," and His Almighty saying: "And whoever is grateful - his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, my Lord is Free of all need and Generous." Worship is a need of the servants and the cause of their success in this world and the Hereafter. It is also a right of Allah Almighty upon His servants, due to His deserving of worship for His very essence.
