Why did God create humans and the universe, and what is the wisdom behind that? Why does He create creatures who are afflicted and tormented, despite Him not needing their worship? Does this contradict justice and mercy? Is it just to bring me into these trials without my choice? And how can He ask me for love while threatening me with torment?

Allah's description with the Most High Attributes and the Beautiful Names necessitated His creation of the universe in truth, not in jest, but to manifest the effects of His names and attributes, and so that He may be known, worshipped, and obeyed, and so that He may reward and punish. Creation also aims to demonstrate His oneness and the perfection of His wisdom. As for the issue of loving under duress, it is ignorance, for whoever knows Allah's perfection and benevolence will inevitably love Him; for hearts are naturally inclined to love those who show them kindness.
