What is the wisdom behind God's creation of humans for His worship, and what benefit accrues to Him, Exalted be He, from their worship?

Allah Almighty, in His perfect wisdom, did not create anything in vain. Rather, everything was created for profound wisdoms and weighty benefits. Among these is the creation of humankind, whom He did not create aimlessly, but for His worship, as indicated by the noble verses. If humankind had been created for anything other than this, their creation would have been in vain, like that of other animals, and this contradicts the Creator's wisdom. The creation of humankind for worship includes other wisdoms, such as their trial, the distinguishing of the righteous from the wicked, the manifestation of Allah's Most Beautiful Names and Exalted Attributes, and the honoring of humankind through their servitude to Allah alone. Allah creates what He wills for what He wills, and He is not questioned about what He does.
