This obsessive whispering (waswasah) is a severe illness and an incurable disease. Giving in to it leads a person to confusion and pathological doubt, and to distress and religious difficulty. Furthermore, the cancellation of a vow due to the prohibition of one of the parents is not something that any of the Sunnis have asserted.
