Is it permissible for someone who finds a Pharaonic tomb containing statues to sell them or keep them, and what is the ruling on the intermediary between the seller and the buyer?

It is not permissible to buy or sell statues of living beings, nor to act as an intermediary in such transactions, because they are inherently forbidden. Allah has prohibited the price of that which He has forbidden, and because they prevent the entry of angels. A condition for the validity of a sale is that the object from which benefit is derived must be permissible. As for statues of inanimate objects, there is no harm in them.
