Is it valid to dictate to the deceased when he is lowered into the grave, or is it an innovation?

"Instructing (Talqeen) after burial is an innovation (bid'ah) because there is no evidence to support its legitimacy, and the correct approach is to abstain from it. What is prescribed, however, is to seek forgiveness for the deceased and to ask for their steadfastness after the burial is complete, following the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him."
