What is the ruling on the prayer of one afflicted with urine dribbling and the emission of a small amount of faeces or mucus after defecation, who is also frequently troubled by flatulence, given the difficulty in waiting for these emissions to cease? Are his previous prayers valid? And is he required to wait for these emissions to cease if he wakes up after sunrise?

The continuous emission of wind (sals al-reeh) is an excuse that permits prayer after performing ablution upon the entry of the prayer time. This does not include the delayed cessation of urine or feces, unless there is a fear of missing the prayer time.

As for the delayed cessation of urine or feces, it does not permit prayer while impurity is present; one must wait for its cessation. Whoever prays with continuous emission of wind (sals al-reeh) while impurity is present due to delayed cessation, their ruling is that of one who ignorantly omitted a condition or pillar. There is a disagreement among scholars regarding this, with the majority opinion being the obligation of repeating or making up the prayer. If one wakes up after sunrise, they must perform the obligatory purification and wait for the cessation of the impurity, because the prayer time for a sleeping person begins from the moment they wake up.
