Is it obligatory to remove a small Qur’an or an ID card that contains the name of Allah before entering the lavatory?

It is not permissible to enter the restroom with a [copy of the] Qur’an, except out of necessity, such as fearing its loss or theft. If you enter with it forgetfully and remember before relieving yourself, then take it out. If you remember while relieving yourself and it is visible, then conceal it.
