What is to be done about the son of adultery?

The child born out of wedlock is a respected soul, and it is forbidden to kill him or expose him to destruction. Whoever finds him can place him in an orphanage, or undertake his upbringing desiring reward, or hand him over to someone who will raise him. This child is legally attributed only to his mother, or a suitable name is chosen for him, and he does not inherit from his father from adultery or from whoever raises him.
