Is it permissible to wear nasal masks throughout the performance of Hajj rituals as a preventive measure against infection?

The rulings regarding wearing a mask during Ihram differ based on the gender of the pilgrim in Ihram:

- Male: It is permissible for him to wear a mask according to the majority of scholars, because a male in Ihram is not prohibited from covering his face. It is better to avoid the differing opinion of those who forbade it, if there is no need. - Female: It is not permissible for her to wear a mask except out of a legitimate necessity, such as the presence of infectious diseases or offensive odors, because a female in Ihram is prohibited from covering her face with something tailored for it. If she wears it out of necessity, she must offer the Fidyah of Harm (fasting three days, or feeding six needy persons, or slaughtering a sheep).
