Is the ringing of a musical alarm clock unlawful (haram)?

Prophetic hadiths indicate that angels do not accompany groups that have bells, and that bells are among the musical instruments of Satan. The reason for their prohibition is due to the enchanting sounds they produce, which liken them to forbidden musical instruments. As for bells not hung on animals and that do not produce enchanting sounds, such as ordinary alarm clocks and doorbells for warning, they are permissible, unless they include something forbidden, like a musical sound, or resemble the bells of Christians.
