Is it true that the reward is lost if the visitor eats or drinks when visiting the sick?

The : "If one of you visits a sick person, he should not eat anything with him, for that is his share from his visit," is very weak. The correct view is the permissibility of eating with the sick person, and that does not diminish the reward of visiting him. In fact, it may be recommended if it brings joy to him.
