What is the ruling on celebrating Valentine's Day, with mention of the evidence and the sayings of scholars regarding it?

Valentine's Day is not part of Islam; rather, it originates from Christianity and has corrupt intentions. The origin of this holiday traces back to the ancient Romans, specifically to February 14th, when young men and women exchange roses and love letters.

It is forbidden to celebrate this holiday or any other holidays of the polytheists, as holidays are part of religion and law. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, every people has its Eid, and this day is our Eid." Furthermore, agreeing to their Eid is agreeing to their disbelief.

This holiday is pagan and Christian, and it is not permissible to celebrate it, nor to sell anything that would facilitate its display. Doing so is a form of cooperation in sin and aggression, and an imitation of the disbelievers in their outward practices. Muslims must distinguish themselves by their religion and be proud of its rituals.
