What is the ruling on the prayer of one who fondled his wife, and then some madhy (pre-seminal fluid) was discharged from him, and then he slept and woke up and only performed wudu’ (ablution) and prayed, then prayed Maghrib and Isha with the same wudu’, forgetting to cleanse himself from the madhy, and is he required to repeat the prayers, knowing that the impurity of madhy is a light one?

Removing impurities is conditional upon knowledge and ability. Therefore, if someone is unaware of their presence, or forgets about them, or is unable to remove them, and then prays, their prayer is valid and they are not required to repeat it, based on the Almighty's saying: "Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake."

Performing ablution before istinja' (cleaning oneself after relieving oneself) is valid according to many scholars, and a number of imams have chosen this view. If a person prays while ignorant or forgetful, their prayer is valid and they are not asked to repeat it.
