As for what has been reported regarding the virtue of Surah Al-Ghashiyah, that "whoever recites Surah Al-Ghashiyah, Allah will hold him to an easy reckoning," this is a fabricated hadith among fabricated hadiths concerning the virtues of surahs, and the hadith scholars have explicitly stated its fabrication. What is authentically established is that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to recite Surahs Al-Ghashiyah and Al-A'la in Friday prayers and on Eid.
