What is the virtue of reciting Surah Al-Ghashiyah specifically?
It has been authentically reported from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that reciting one letter from the Book of Allah grants a good deed multiplied tenfold, and this applies to the entire Qur’an. As for what has been reported regarding the virtue of Al-Ghashiyah, that "whoever recites Surah Al-Ghashiyah, Allah will hold him to an easy reckoning," this is a fabricated among fabricated hadiths concerning the virtues of surahs, and the hadith scholars have explicitly stated its fabrication. What is authentically established is that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to recite Surahs Al-Ghashiyah and Al-A'la in Friday prayers and on Eid.
