Is it permissible to adopt the fatwa of a شيخ who permitted trimming eyebrows, knowing that the issue is disputed?
It is permissible to adopt the view of those who permit trimming the eyebrows if one finds that view to be more sound, or if no other view appears more sound after expending effort in seeking that, or due to need and to alleviate hardship. However, adopting the easiest opinion when another opinion is clearly more sound, without genuine need, is a blameworthy pursuit of concessions. For it is obligatory upon a Muslim to follow the opinion that appears to him to be correct.
