Inviting non-Muslims to Islam and straying Muslims [back to the straight path] is an obligation upon every capable Muslim. It is the way of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and those who followed him. The most important means of da'wah (inviting to Islam) is to embody the virtuous ethics of Islam. Da'wah begins by explaining that the religion of Allah is one, and it is the religion of all prophets, or by clarifying the merits of Islamic and its suitability for human nature (fitra) and its fulfillment of human needs, such as the prohibition of intoxicants due to the harm they cause.
