Is it permissible for the fornicatress to communicate with the man with whom she fornicated, like friends communicate, after both of them have repented, or must all means of communication between them be severed?

Repentance is not accepted unless it is sincere and fulfills its conditions, chief among them being the firm resolve not to return to the sin. A friendship that opens the door to returning to indecency is a serious illness that must be severed, for Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan." If marriage is possible for those who love each other, then it is preferable, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Nothing is seen for those who love each other like marriage."
