What is the knowledge that Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, concealed, which he referred to by saying: "I memorized from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, two vessels. As for one of them, I propagated it, but as for the other, if I were to propagate it, this throat would be cut off," and what is the evidence for that?

Abu Hurairah's statement, "I memorized from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, two vessels. As for one of them, I disseminated it, and as for the other, if I were to disseminate it, this throat would be cut," and what he concealed has no relation to Wahdat al-Wujud (unity of existence) or esoteric knowledge, because the belief in Wahdat al-Wujud is clear disbelief, and the concealment of truth related to creed by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or the Companions is forbidden. Scholars have unanimously agreed that what Abu Hurairah concealed were the hadiths about tribulations (fitan) and the signs of the Hour, which foretold evil rulers in his time, and he feared their tyranny. Thus, he saw that concealing them would not diminish the religion, because the injustice of the oppressor is evident.
