What is the ruling on throwing a cat away and removing it after it has returned repeatedly, and what is the ruling on the children's saying, "If you throw this cat a second time, Allah will throw you because it is a 'tawwafah' (one that frequently goes around people), as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said"?

There is no harm in removing a cat and keeping it away from the house with the desire for it not to return, because what is forbidden is confining it without food until it dies. And whoever leaves it to eat from the creatures of the earth has absolved themselves of its right. There is no Sharia-prescribed punishment for removing it, as sheltering it was not a religious obligation in the first place.
