Is it permissible to seek divorce due to a wife's discomfort with her husband's religiosity and morals, after she had initially agreed to the marriage based on preliminary insights and reassurance?

A woman should consult trustworthy individuals regarding a suitor who has proposed to her, for a sincere advisor helps one reach the correct decision. The true essence of Istikhara is entrusting the matter to Allah the Almighty. Therefore, one should not rely on dreams when performing Istikhara; rather, the person seeking guidance should proceed, and whatever transpires is hoped to contain goodness. The presence of difficulties in married life does not negate the Istikhara, for trials elevate ranks and expiate sins. Imperfection is inherent to human beings, and through prayer and good counsel, reform is possible. As for seeking divorce, it is permissible when there is real, clear harm, but it is not always the solution. Patience and mutual advice are recommended, hoping that Allah will improve the situation.
