Is my deed considered righteous if I deny the Gospel that Christians have today, while believing in the Gospel that was revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him?
One must believe that Allah revealed books to the previous prophets, among them the Injeel (Gospel) which was revealed to Jesus, peace be upon him. One must disbelieve what is found in the distorted gospels present today among Christians that contradict revelation and reason. As for what is not known to be true or false, we neither affirm it nor deny it. What has been proven true in the Qur’an and Sunnah is not to be disbelieved, but one cannot assert that it is from the revealed Injeel unless there is proof from the Qur’an or Sunnah.
