The woman whose husband has died before consummation observes her iddah (waiting period) in her family's home, not her husband's. She is entitled to the full dowry and inheritance, and she must observe the iddah (four months and ten days) because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ruled thus concerning Barwa' bint Washiq.
