What is the ruling on bequeathing a house as an endowment for lodging, and designating an annex in the name of one of the sons, and how is the inheritance to be divided among: (a son - 7 daughters - a wife)?

If the deceased has no heirs other than his children and wife, the inheritance is divided as follows: the wife receives one-eighth due to the existence of a lineal heir, and the remainder goes to the children by way of 'asaba (agnatic succession), with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females. A bequest to an heir is not valid unless approved by the adult, mature heirs.
