It is not permissible for the wife's family to assist her in disobeying her husband or in corrupting her relationship with him. Rather, they should advise and guide her towards good. If it is proven that her family is corrupting her, the husband is permitted to prevent her from visiting or speaking with them to avert harm. Marital relations are built upon respect and affection.
