When repenting from a sin, one must feel remorse. If a person regrets their sin, abandons it, and resolves never to return to it, then their repentance is sound, and they are not required to repeat the remorse. The repentant person is not obligated to abstain from what they love, as long as that beloved thing is permissible. Abstaining from permissible things is not a condition for repentance.
