Is a woman required to spend on her father who abandoned his responsibilities and seized her inheritance?

Wealthy children must spend on their poor parents. A father's mistreatment of his daughter and neglect of her upbringing does not negate his right to good companionship, kindness, and financial support when he is in need. The fact that a father did not fulfill his duties does not waive his children's duties. They should forgive the past and forget what has transpired, for in the pleasure of parents lies the pleasure of Allah, and in their displeasure lies His displeasure. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against those who would not enter Paradise despite reaching old age with their parents and failing to honor them.
