Is breaking a marriage promise to a girl who erred by having a relationship with another man considered forbidden?

We advise against marrying her, given the legal permissibility of breaking a promise in such a case, and due to the Prophet's urging to choose a religious woman. One must also repent from establishing forbidden relationships between men and women before marriage and adhere to the rulings of the religion.
